AniClash - Central Fiction Launch Week Iron Man - 10/8/16

Tournament Thread on

Hot on the heels of our first-ever Central Fiction event on the day prior comes the 2nd official event AniClash's BBCF Launch Week Celebration: the return of the Iron Man format! For those unfamiliar with this exciting format that first debuted in Season 4 of AniClash, read below for rules and regulations.

  • The goal of an Iron Man event is for all players competing to aim for the highest streak over the course of the event's duration.
  • Bracket Phase: After the bracket is shuffled, the first 2 players will play their Best of 3 set, and the winner of that match will stay on stream and continue facing off against the rest of the player pool until they either lose a set or manage to win 10 consecutive matches. In the case of the former the player who defeated them will then begin their own streak from that point in the pool until they lose. In the case of the latter, that player will secure themselves a spot in the finals and no longer play until the end of the bracket phase. The player order will continue being cycled through until the end of the bracket phase.
  • Finals Phase: In the Finals Phase, the 2 players with the highest streaks among the pool will face off in a final Best of 5 set to determine the winner of the event. In the off-chance that more than 2 players manage to secure a spot in the finals by way of getting a streak of 10 wins, the final 2 players to do so will face off beforehand to decide who plays in the final match.
  • Accepted Stage Selections: The new and improved Lessons / Ishana - Silent - / Coliseum - Silent - / Altar / Cathedral - Silent - / Old Gate. If you select the wrong stage, you will be given a warning once, than an automatic loss of one game.
  • Player DQ/Match loss due to inadequate network connection is up to the discretion of the individual TO on hand.
  • Only the loser of the previous game in a set is allowed to switch characters before the next game in that set.

Additional Information

  • Iron Man events employ an open-registration style. The bracket is not closed for entry until 90 minutes into the event, leaving plenty of time for players to hop aboard.
  • Attendance and punctuality is a necessity throughout the night. You have approximately 2-3 minutes to be present for your matches when they arrive, or you will forfeit that set. Keeping a keen eye on the chat--where the matchups will be posted--and listening to the stream--where they'll be announced--is strongly encouraged to avoid such penalties. Keep in mind that the Challonge Page is used solely for keeping track of all participating players; matches will not be played out in that specific order in Iron Man events, increasing importance of following the stream all the more.
  • Dualboxing on the same PSN account and PS3/4 is not tolerated. One player per console. DQ will be issued if not adhering to this rule.

This bracket is a preview and subject to change until the tournament is started.
